Frequently Asked Questions

How relevant is the educational content to school topics?

Extremely, all learning games are designed to complement the National Curriculum topics and VTech’s product development team are constantly researching the subjects.

Are there more games coming out for V.Smile?

Yes, we are always developing new titles with all of pre-schoolers favourite characters. Look out for more Learning Games throughout 2007 – Remember to join the VTech Club to hear all the V.Smile news first!

I have twins aged 3 years, but do not want to buy two V.Smile consoles, what can you suggest?

Many of the V.Smile learning games have an option for 2 players, which is ideal for sharing. Simply purchase a second joystick and then your children have their own controls for the learning experience.

Which one should I choose – V.Smile Pocket or V.Smile Console?

It is beneficial for your children to have both as it gives your children the flexibility of leaving the console in the house and then taking V.Smile Pocket on the go. The added advantage is that the V.Smile learning games are compatible with both the console and Pocket version, therefore, you do not have to buy additional games.

Where can V.Smile Pocket be used?

ANYWHERE! The car – infact any mode of transport, in the garden, abroad, at home in the bedroom, or linked up to the TV in the living room to share the experience with the rest of the family, at granny’s house, in the playground…anywhere!

How many games will the V.Smile console store?

6 in total to prevent the games from getting lost.

Do I need any extra leads to connect V.Smile console to my TV?

No, V.Smile console comes complete with all of the necessary leads to hook up to the TV, including a scart lead but you will need 3xC batteries, or alternatively you can purchase a 9v adaptor.

Does V.Smile console and V.Smile Pocket adapt for both left and right handed users?

VTech have developed both products to adapt for left and right handed users after research has shown that children at a young age are not sure which hand they are more comfortable with, so at the flick of a switch the controls are changed easily.
