Whiz Kid, the PC hook up system for kids who love to learn!
VTech introduces Whiz Kid, the fun and educational learning system for children aged 3-6. Watch as they learn with this magical system which teaches a variety of activities designed especially to make learning fun.
Through the power of the PC, children can work their way through 120 activities which encourage them to develop a breadth of skills including: reading, phonics, language, maths, logic and creativity. Parents can monitor their performance with the Whiz Kid Progress Report which tracks their development.
However, Whiz Kid also helps to develop fundamental skills such as listening, following instructions and paying attention. These are necessary skills not only for learning but also good lessons for everyday life.
There are two ways to learn with Whiz Kid, either by linking to the PC to open an animated world of fun or on-the-go through the wireless touch sensitive panel. In an IT led world the PC link up allows children to interact with the computer from as young as 3.
For parents there’s no need to worry about sticky fingers on the keyboard or mouse, and for children the activity panel is specially designed for little hands, so they can learn how to hold and pen and interact with the PC at the same time. When PC time is over Whiz Kid can be used in the car or at friends and relatives houses - so the learning never has to end!
Unlike other learning systems Whiz Kid has been specially crafted to incorporate the newest and most innovative ways to teach children. For example, Whiz Kid has embraced the new way to teach reading and writing in schools.
Synthetic Phonics encourages children to master words themselves by a process of word structure and blending, and Synthetic Phonics will be introduced into schools in September 2007. Dr Marlynne Grant – the recommended consultant by The Department of Education and Skills says:

Each Whizware title comes complete with a downloadable CD, 1 Learning Cartridge and 40 activity pages to develop their reading, maths, language, creativity and more.
